Region Story
Daterra Coffee in Brazil centralizes high-altitude farms from the Minas Gerais region for processing, drying, and storage. Through innovative marketing, Daterra sells globally, with all member farms above 1150 meters and compliant with Rainforest Alliance (R.F.A.) standards, focusing on rainforest preservation and community well-being.
After harvest, coffee is immediately transported to the processing plant. Water used for washing is chemical-free and reused for irrigation. Daterra's sun-drying process involves three days of sun exposure followed by drying at temperatures below 30°C until the beans reach 11% moisture.
