Region Story
San Vicente Coffee Exporter was founded in the 1950s by Cantalicio Paz in the Santa Barbara region as a small family business to support local coffee farmers. His son, Fidel Paz, took over in the 1980s, becoming a key coffee broker in the area.
In 2001, San Vicente became an official exporter, trading with the U.S. and Europe. With the rise of the Honduras Cup of Excellence in 2005, the region became known for specialty coffee. San Vicente pioneered micro-lot exports by partnering with producers to improve quality control and storage.
